The European International School (EIS) offers a unique world class learning environment for children from 2 to 18 years of age. The School is fully accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS), meaning that EIS meets the highest possible international quality standards in all areas of school operations. It also means that other schools, colleges and universities recognise EIS students’ school reports and High School diploma as being issued by a high quality school, held in good standing internationally.
We would love to show you around our beautiful tropical garden campus and introduce you to our teachers and students, but until you can make it, we still want to give you a glimpse of our EIS journey through a virtual visit now.

Elijah attended a preschool in our previous country of posting and a kindergarten in HCMC. Although he was extremely well looked after by his 2 previous schools, trouble was he still could not read. We enrolled him into EIS and within a few months he came home, looked at the TV and said ‘Sony’. There has been no stopping him since.
In my past experience in my interaction with EIS’s current leadership and team, it would be hard not to see that a fertile and international environment has been created for which children are nurtured to grow. The built environment of the campus plays a significant and pivotal role to facilitate such growth in the children. Rather than a large institutional building, the facility is scattered into an organic friendly and conducive learning village. This fosters greater interaction amongst all members in the school as well as a healthy dose of vitamin D every now and again.
We feel blessed to have found EIS for Elijah and his sisters. It is truly a village of learning and a rare and exemplary educational model, not only academically but socially as well. Creating a valuable community of global citizens for the world.

This is our fourth year among EIS community in Ho Chi Minh city. We have two daughters at the school. One is currently in third grade and the other, our youngest, is in Kindergarten 2. The school has provided a safe and comfortable environment for them to learn and develop their skills both as individuals and as members of the community. Classes are small and the education is personal, so the teachers know their students and can tailor their efforts to individual student needs. Through the after school activities, the kids complement their classes and get to know students and teachers from other grades, enhancing their interpersonal relationships and strengthening community links. Parents involvement is highly appreciated and encouraged by the school. There are a lot of occasions during the year, like events and assemblies, when the parents can join and watch the kids work and progress. Also, the school organizes a series of events at the campus for the whole community, out of school hours and in a relaxed atmosphere, having the parents and the kids a chance to get together, so the kids can meet their friends and the parents and teachers of all sections get to know each other. EIS is a warm and welcoming community of caring students, teachers, and parents.

When we moved to Vietnam from Australia, our daughter had been at a small, child centred school and it was important to find a good fit. The European International School was perfect with its warm, friendly village feel. As Sage was still young, seven at the time, a nurturing, creative and inclusive environment was essential to her well being. We found this at EIS and it has continued to be so, Sage is now in her fourth year. The Primary Years Program was also a big drawcard for us as it is an internationally available program that Sage can continue on with when we move home. Parent involvement is encouraged, whether it be as a class parent representative, member of the Parents Council, community events or in the classroom. We have always found our ideas, concerns and opinions can be voiced and heard. I love that Sage has had the opportunity to be exposed to different cultures both through fellow students, teachers and also learning a second language. Although the facilities are limited at EIS, Sage has been able to join the choir and swim team which has competed internationally. The size of the school really allows opportunities for students which they may otherwise not have and is continually looking for ways to involve students, parents and teachers in school life.

I would like to share with you my experience with EIS. We are a family with 2 children aged 5 and 7 and we have been living in Vietnam for 4 years already. I think I can say that we finally found the school our kids (and also we as parents) really like. EIS has a broad multicultural environment that mixing all possible nationalities. The teachers for both kids are perfect and we even hear their names at home many times.
EIS works as a community. We experienced other schools in HCMC as well but at EIS parents are truly part of the school (for sure only if they want themselves). What we also value is accurate but not over- extensive communication from school. You receive all necessary information without being “spammed”.
I highly recommend EIS to all families who are moving to HCMC. It is great place to have your kids at school.

My family has been part of this community for more than 3 years now and has seen so many positive changes in the school as it continues to grow and expand. What impresses me the most is the Open Door Policy which applies throughout from the teachers all the way up to the senior management. With effective communication being so vital I find the schools pro active approach of using additional tools such as Social Media, Weekly Newsletters and Class Weeblies very impressive I am always up to date with all the events and happenings. New Ideas are always welcome and we as Parents are included and encouraged to lead many activities throughout the school year. Excellent examples of these would be International Language Day, Reading in Class, Family Fun Day and Movie Nights of which I make a point of attending
Being a multicultural, multination school with 43 Nationalities represented throughout the grades I find their mission statement a true foundation on which the school values are brought to life by all members of EIS faculty. This is in turn instilled into the students from Early Years all the way through to High School. The growth and maturity displayed by the students is clearly visible through their development
Having been expatriated throughout Europe, The Middle East and Asia over the last 13 years in multiple locations my family and I have been exposed to various educational systems. When I was looking for a school for my 2 daughters EIS was the perfect fit, I love the campus with its unique design and clever use of space, the individual villas, the IB curriculum and the language program which is the best in HCMC. I would happily recommend EIS as one of the top Educational Institutions in Ho Chi Minh City.

Our son Lucian is now in his second year at EIS, in Early Years, and loves it! EIS offers top quality education while maintaining a fantastic community feel. The staff and teachers are professional and caring, and as parents we benefit from excellent, open communication from the school about what is going on, and how our son is progressing. We are super happy that we chose EIS.
Haike Manning – Former Ambassador of New Zealand to Vietnam
For me, EIS was my second family. I had a lot of wonderful teachers and many lovely friends, especially my G12’s gang. Every moment that I had with them are the best memories I have ever had.
What I have learnt from the IBDP
Never ever procrastinate your deadlines if you want to survive in IB. And everyone in your class is your friend in the IBDP exam, they are not your enemy. Therefore, you guys should help each other to survive IBDP exam. Don’t make a “civil war”.
Most memorable moment
The most memorable moment I would never forget was during lunch time, when all 8 of us sat on 1 table, had lunch and talked with each other about anything that came up in our mind. At that time, I felt like we are a real “OHANA”. “Ohana means family and family means nobody is left behind or forgotten” - Lilo and Stitch.
Vu Thi Thanh Thao - Class of 2017
4 years of my experience in EIS was unforgettable. I personally believe that the true quality of the “educational village” lies in the independent and embracing environment that the school sustains. During my stay, I was able to take on new challenges and take numerous leadership roles. This overall developed me into an independent learner, better prepared to move forward for future chapters of my education.
