At European International School Ho Chi Minh City (EIS), learning and personal growth continue long after the day’s lessons have ended. We aim to provide our students with opportunities to develop their natural talents, build confidence, practice a healthy lifestyle and expand their world view.
The European International School Ho Chi Minh City (EIS) believes that parent engagement is crucial to the healthy development of children and young adults. Research tells us that when parents are actively engaged in their child’s school and take a genuine interest in the teaching and learning that is taking place, their children will be more successful, happy and confident at school and beyond. That is why EIS actively encourages our parents to be involved in school.
Our Parents Council meets monthly with the school leadership to discuss ideas and projects that they feel are important to the school and its community. It is a representative body that works closely with the Class Parent Representatives and, indeed, all of the parents.
You will often find that our parents are involved in school events and activities, and as the years passed by their beginnings take even more leadership for some of the school’s big community occasions such as our International Language Day, EIS Fun Day or EIS Movie Night.

When we moved to Vietnam from Australia, our daughter had been at a small, child centred school and it was important to find a good fit. The European International School was perfect with its warm, friendly village feel. As Sage was still young, seven at the time, a nurturing, creative and inclusive environment was essential to her well being. We found this at EIS and it has continued to be so, Sage is now in her fourth year. The Primary Years Program was also a big drawcard for us as it is an internationally available program that Sage can continue on with when we move home. Parent involvement is encouraged, whether it be as a class parent representative, member of the Parents Council, community events or in the classroom. We have always found our ideas, concerns and opinions can be voiced and heard. I love that Sage has had the opportunity to be exposed to different cultures both through fellow students, teachers and also learning a second language. Although the facilities are limited at EIS, Sage has been able to join the choir and swim team which has competed internationally. The size of the school really allows opportunities for students which they may otherwise not have and is continually looking for ways to involve students, parents and teachers in school life.

Our son Lucian is now in his second year at EIS, in Early Years, and loves it! EIS offers top quality education while maintaining a fantastic community feel. The staff and teachers are professional and caring, and as parents we benefit from excellent, open communication from the school about what is going on, and how our son is progressing. We are super happy that we chose EIS.

We are German Pakistani family. Our son Abdul Momin started his school journey at EIS 1.5 years ago and is in K2 now. From this year our daugther Dua also joined the Toddlers class. We are really happy with our selection of this school as it provides a good protective nourishing envoirnment to all the students. Main reason of selecting EIS is the option of additional German language which no other International school in Saigon provides. And the thing we like most is almost all of the school staff know us and school wants involvement of parents at all events.
