European International School Ho Chi Minh City (EIS) offers a rich and diverse programme of After School Activities (ASAs) for all students from Early Years to Grade 12. Students are given space and time to develop their artistic talents, social competencies, physical endurance and skills, as well as having fun in a supervised and supportive environment.

Weekly newsletter - 22nd March 2018

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Thank you so much to the families and friends who were able to attend our EIS Fun Day last Saturday. I understand it was a wonderful community event filled with fun, laughter, prizes and bubbles! I also heard that there were no technical difficulties with the movie (a first for EIS) apart from the sun deciding to set at a later time than is usual causing a slight delay in the start time. My sincere thanks to all our parent volunteers, without whose support we could not have done it and an even bigger thank you to our fantastic Parent Event Team, compromising of Carmen, Daniela and Alex, who worked so hard in their planning and preparations to make sure the day was the huge success it was. I know the Parent Event Team would like to thank Mariselle for her great support in coordinating things from an operational side to ensure the parents had everything they needed on the day. Another successful parent driven event - so rewarding to have your support.  I was desperately sorry to miss it.

This week, our students and teachers across all sections of the school have been fully immersed in all things arty in celebration of Creative Arts Week (CAW). All the work that has been done this week is culminating in an Arts extravaganza tomorrow evening starting at 17:30. Please be there!  You will be able to see all the creativity that has been occurring this week displayed around the campus (don’t miss out the Early Years campus to see what our youngest artists have been doing) and enjoy Primary and Middle & High School student initiated musical performances on the big stage on the large field. We encourage you to make a donation of 30,000 VND for entrance to the event, which will go some way to supporting our grade 11 community service projects. Refreshments will be available on the night as well.  We look forward to seeing you there.

Please be reminded to complete the parent contact details form sent out last week as soon as possible, thank you to the many parents who have already returned this. We are concerned that not all our parents are receiving important school information, and more significantly we want to be sure that we can get hold of you in case of an emergency.

On Monday, you will receive the re-enrollment forms and school fee schedule for the new academic year. Please read through the information and explanation carefully.

Wednesday 28th March is the last day of the 3rd quarter.  I wish you a great holiday with your kids and look forward to seeing you again when the school opens again on Monday 9th April.

Best regards,

Head of School
