Weekly Newsletter - 14th March 2019

Dear Parents and Guardians,

On Sunday, March 10th. we welcomed a Visiting Team of 12 members from the Council of International Schools and International Baccalaureate Organization. The team has been present in the school during the week conducting evaluation of the school against the standards for accreditation and curriculum authorization. They visited classes, held meetings with the CEO of A-Star Education, staff, parents and students and observed the school in action. The reports from the respective organizations will be available in due course.

The School will take handover of the new facilities on Friday, 15th. We will now commence phased occupancy, starting with use of the classrooms on next Monday.

On 23rd and 24th March, EIS is very pleased to be hosting SAIMUN. The event, attended by 270 students from 12 schools will take place at the Sheraton Hotel. We wish our students well as they engage in geopolitical debate in this simulation of the United Nations.

Also, on next Monday we will open the IB Diploma Art Exhibition. This will be an exciting event for the students concerned and we wish them well in their exhibition and their examination.

EIS Fun Day will take place on Saturday, April 6, from 3.00pm to 8.00pm pm. From 3.00 to 5.00 pm, children will be able to enjoy various games and activities, collecting points on the reward cards that will be distributed during the event. At 5.00 pm, games and activities will end, and each reward card should then be returned (with the name of the participant clearly written on it), for the organizers to determine which children managed to collect the biggest amount of points. At approximately 5.15 pm, a 30 minutes surprising show will entertain children and adults. And at 5.45 PM, there will be a brief ceremony during which the winners of the EIS Fun Day will be rewarded with special prizes. Finally, at 6.00 pm, Movie Night will start. As the theme of the event this year is "Survivor", the chosen movie is The Wild Life, a funny cartoon (loosely) based on Robinson Crusoe's adventures.
Food and beverages will be available throughout the event. All profits of the day will go towards Operation Smile Vietnam.
Please note that for this event to happen, the organizers (Alexandra, Carmen and Daniela) need volunteers! If you are able to help even just for 1 hour, please contact Carmen as soon as possible (deadline: March 25):
We are now updating EIS’s website content. It would be great if you can share your testimonial for the school via this form. If you have difficulties of filling the form, please kindly send an email to our Marketing Department at

All the very best,
