European International School Ho Chi Minh City (EIS) offers a rich and diverse programme of After School Activities (ASAs) for all students from Early Years to Grade 12, most of which are included within the tuition fee. Students are given space and time to develop their artistic talents, social competencies, physical endurance and skills, as well as having fun in a supervised and supportive environment.

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Once again, thank you to parents who attended our workshops this week. We hope that you found the presentations informative. We were especially pleased this week to welcome parents from the Korean community on Monday who participated in a workshop presented by DP students on the learning approaches and academic demands of the International Baccalaureate Diploma programme. Also, it was very evident at the "Why Enquiry" workshop that parents had much fun with their hands-on learning experiences and came away with a better understanding of what their children do each day when they are provided with a learning culture where they feel safe to work hard, succeed, take risks and make mistakes. All the workshop presentations and further information is posted on the Parent Portal.

The next meeting of “Meet the Senior Leadership Team” will take place on next Monday, February 1st at 8.00am in the MPR.  All parents are welcome, and this is a special occasion for parents new to the school in semester two to meet with Ms. Jo Roberts, Mr. John Veitch, and Mr. Sean O’Maonaigh.


Students in Middle and High School are now enjoying the full use of the new facilities in Building B.  The “Design, Think, Innovate Space” was completed this week. In addition to classrooms for languages and mathematics other facilities in use are the Science Laboratories and a Mezzanine Floor, specifically for IBDP students.

We will hold an ‘’Official Opening’’ of the building next Friday, February 5th at 7.45 am. Parents are welcome to attend and then tour the building. 


Tết is the most important festival of the Vietnamese calendar. It marks the beginning of the Lunar New Year and a time for renewal.  

The 2021 TET celebration is from Wednesday, February 10th to Tuesday, February 16th inclusive.  The Tết Lunar New Year’s Eve is on February 11th and The First Day is February 12th.

In school we will hold several events next week to celebrate and to be reminded of the importance of intercultural understanding in line with our learning principles.

On next Friday, February 5th we will hold a TET Assembly at 8.15 a.m. Students and teachers are currently practicing for on-stage performances. The program will be as follows:

Parents are invited to come and join. Additionally, parents are welcome to tour Building B after the assembly.


The school enrolled new and returning students during December/January and our Saturday morning tour programme has started for families interested in enrolling with us in Semester 2 and next academic year.
