European International School Ho Chi Minh City (EIS) offers a rich and diverse programme of After School Activities (ASAs) for all students from Early Years to Grade 12, most of which are included within the tuition fee. Students are given space and time to develop their artistic talents, social competencies, physical endurance and skills, as well as having fun in a supervised and supportive environment.

Weekly email from EIS to Parents - 16th January 2020

Dear Parents and Guardians,

It has been a busy week for students, especially for those focused on assessments.  Monitoring student progress following the first semester reports is a priority at this stage in the school.

Focus on Learning
During the second semester, we will continue to focus on the three main schoolwide goals for this school year with a view for planning for continued improvement into next school year.

  • Developing curriculum and instruction for ELL students – e.g. introduction of Cambridge Global English
  • Developing curriculum for mother tongue and other languages – i.e. review of Languages Policy
  • Developing assessment for learning and use of data to inform teaching and learning e.g. – review of standards and grade level outcomes and implementation of GL Assessments.

Parent Survey
A separate email regarding a Parent Survey has been sent to parents. We thank you in advance for taking time to complete the survey.

Tet Celebrations
We will hold a number of events next week to celebrate. Therefore please note that there will be no ECAs/ ASAs on Wednesday 22nd January or Thursday 23rd January.

School Calendar 2020/21
The school calendar for school year 2020/21 has been finalized. Please see attached.

All the very best,
