Dear Parents and Guardians,
The atmosphere around the school has been especially busy this week as students enjoy the freedom of the campus, clearer air, and fine weather. There is also a sense of “normal” school as students plan for the end of term three and look to complete personal and academic goals.
TEACHER CONFERENCES – DATES
We will be holding Parent/Teacher/Student Conference in school on the following dates. Please refer to the information from the Heads of Section and on the Parent Portal for specific details and registration.
Early Years: Tuesday 16th March from 15:00 - 19:00.
Primary School: Tuesday 16th March and Wednesday 17th March from 15:00 - 18:00.
Middle/High School: Tuesday 16th March, Wednesday 17th March and Thursday 18th March from 15:30 – 18:30.
NEW BUILDING B - VIEWING
We will be holding the Parent Teacher Conferences in rooms in the new Building B next week. The building will therefore be open for viewing by any interested parents during the afternoons on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
IB ART EXHIBITION
Students in the Grade 12 IB Diploma Art class are finalizing their artworks in preparation for their examination and exhibition, “Girls Aloud”. The exhibition will be held in MPR4 and the opening will take place at 16.30 on Tuesday, March 23rd.
INTERNATIONAL MOTHER TONGUE LANGUAGES DAY
We will be celebrating International Mother Tongue Languages Day (postponed from February) and the organizing committee are finalizing the details. The event will be for students will take place in school on Friday, March 26th.
SISAC SPORTS AND SWIMMING
In association with ISHCMC, AAVN and AIS we are recommencing competitive events and activities. This will involve teams in football, volleyball, basketball, and water polo at various age groups. Specific details will be provided to the students concerned. EIS will also host two Swim Galas, one in April and another in May.
SCHOOL CALENDAR 2021/22
A reminder that the overview school calendar for next school year, indicating national and school holidays, is now posted on the Parent Portal. A more detailed calendar including school events will be published later.
MESSAGE FROM THE ADMISSIONS OFFICE
The Saturday morning tour programme has started for families interested in enrolling in EIS in Term 4 and/or next academic year, commencing August 2021.
