Dear Parents and Guardians,
The National Day Assembly was a great community event with staff, parents and especially students engaged in cultural celebration. Thank you again to everyone who attended and particularly the students who presented music and dance performances. Photos are available here.
Thank you also to parents who have volunteered to be Class Parent Representatives. The first meeting of the CPRs took place on last Tuesday and further information will be forthcoming through homerooms shortly.
Parent/Student Contact Information
This is a final reminder to please respond to an individual request that was mailed out to parents to notify Admissions admissions@eishcmc.com if there have been changes to your contact information. In particular, if you have changed your phone number in the last few months (including the nationwide change of prefix numbers), please inform the Admissions Team, because we are testing the School's emergency SMS notification system.
Launch of Parent Portal
The school is currently implementing a new school management system – iSAMS. One component of the system is a Parent Portal. This portal will be developed over time with new applications added during the school year. The portal will be launched
in the coming weeks and parents will receive login information next week.
Survey for New Parents
Parents who recently enrolled in the school will receive a survey from Admissions to provide feedback on the admissions process, transition and settling into the school. Your response to this survey would be appreciated and helpful to inform improvements to our procedures and processes.
Parent Education Programme
A programme of workshops for parents will be published shortly. The workshops will cover a range of topics regarding teaching and learning, and related matters.
Meet the Senior Leadership Team (SLT)
The first “Meet the SLT” of this school year will be held on Monday, September 9th at 8.00am in the MPR. This is an opportunity for parents to engage informally with the senior academic leadership of the school. The topic for this first meeting will be ‘’The Accreditation Status of the Council of International Schools (CIS)” when I will provide information on the accreditation process and the report that was received based on the commendations and recommendations of the CIS Visiting Team.
