Weekly email from EIS to Parents - 03rd October 2019

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Grade 2
Thank you to students in Grade 2 for presenting their very interesting ‘’exhibition’’ on the ‘’Human Body’’ last Friday. Teacher, parents and students enjoyed very much interacting with the displays and games – the digital microscope was a particular hit – well done.

We are looking forward to the Lego Expo in school next week when students will have an opportunity to explore their design creativity. The exhibition will be open to parents on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons between 3.00pm to 4.00pm.

Cambridge Global English
This year the school is implementing a new program, specifically for English language learners – Cambridge Global English. Students are differentiated by levels and may move successively through coursebooks, student workbooks and web-based support materials. An online link has been sent to relevant parents and an overview of the program will be provided for interested parents in this semester.

Access to Campus during the school day
After morning drop-off the entrance at Ngo Quang Huy is closed at 8.15am and the access to the school during the day, until pick-up time, s is only through the main gate at Le Van Mien Street. Arising from recent practice drills it is essential, especially in the case of an emergency, that there is a record of those who are on campus.
Therefore all persons entering and leaving the campus during the school day are asked to sign the in/out register, taking care to exit and sign out through the same gate, where possible.

Parking Motorbikes on Ngo Quang Huy
Parents parking motorbikes on Ngo Quang Huy are reminded to park visibly, close to the school gates, to remove all valuables and to lock the motorbike.

Launch of Parent Portal
A test portal has been sent to CPRs for review prior to an open launch to all parents. Thank you for providing feedback that will inform our roll out.

An Assembly and other celebration activities will be held on Thursday, October 24th. The theme is ‘’Every plate tells a story” and students are invited to bring food from their country to share on that day.
