High School
Diploma Programme (Grades 11 to 12)
The IB Diploma Programme, designed for students in Grades 11 and 12, is a pre-university qualification that is recognised in more than 140 countries. The IBDP is an academically challenging and balanced programme of education that prepares students for success at university and life beyond graduation. The IBDP curriculum emphasises students' intellectual, social, emotional, and physical well-being, while encouraging their participation in a rapidly evolving and increasingly global society.
The robust programme promotes the intellectual, emotional, and social development of IBDP learners. Students select subjects from six subject groups, which offer the acquisition of breadth and depth of knowledge and understanding across multiple disciplines. IBDP pupils are encouraged to develop good study skills and a positive attitude toward learning that will prepare them for higher education.
The IB Diploma Programme (Grades 11 and 12) at EIS
IMDP participants make connections across traditional academic disciplines and explore the nature of knowledge through the programme's unique Theory of Knowledge (TOK) course. DP students undertake an in-depth research project via the IMDP Extended Essay. To excel in this course module, students exercise thorough research skills while exploring a particular topic. This exciting, advanced programme also offers personal, social, and interpersonal development through the Creativity, Activity, and Service (CAS) module.
European International School Ho Chi Minh City (EIS) is one of a few IB World Schools in Vietnam to offer the full Continuum of IB Programmes - the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), and the Diploma Programme (DP). Since 2014, the School has offered scholarships to students who show academic promise. This year, EIS continues to offer scholarship opportunities to new students who have demonstrated exceptional academic performance and a commitment to community service. Merit-based scholarships are available for new students entering Grade 10 or Grade 11 who have the potential to achieve high IB Diploma scores.
