Early Years
Early Years Programme (Toddler Class - Preschool)
The curriculum framework used in the Early Years section of the School is the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP), while also embracing the philosophies of Reggio Emilia.
We encourage our youngest learners (aged 2 - 5) to become independent learners and help them to make connections between life in school, life at home and life in the world. By helping students to see that learning is connected to life, a strong foundation for lifelong learning is established.
Play provides children with opportunities to explore, discover, create and experiment
Lessons are child-centred and engaging, with a focus on allowing students to demonstrate their agency by providing them with opportunities to express their voice, choice and ownership of learning. Children use their imagination and curiosity to explore, learn and develop through play, experimentation and inquiry.
At EIS, children from 2 - 4 years of age thrive in a 'home-from-home' villa environment
